Who Am I? – Mind Map (Unit 12 2.1, 2.2)
Recently we started to look at what we would like to do for our final major project, but before we could do that we had to figure out what would be the best for us to do by thinking about different areas of what makes myself. This will be done by creating a “Who am I?” Mind map to talk about a few areas about myself.
After looking back and creating this mind map, it’s made me think about how much of it connects to one another, that being a common with the mention of video games. Video games have been a part of my life since I was very young, this would be thanks to my parents both having a history with different gaming consoles, from my first memory of dad playing WWE Smackdown on the PlayStation 1 and my mum playing Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast, to them handing down a Gameboy and a new copy of Pokémon Red. This has followed me thought out my entire life and has inspired me to follow game creation as a career path which has lead me to where I am today. I have also noticed that my interest in pixel art could have been where I first started to play video games, where on the Gameboy, pixel art was the standard on the console due to the limitations of the console. This has lead me to believe that my interest in pixel art has come from how much I was exposed to it.
From this I believe I have learned a lot about myself and how some aspects of my life are connected to what I enjoy today. I believe this new found knowledge would help me in the future by helping me decide what I would like to look at while I do my final major project.
